In previous communications, the District’s cell phone procedure for the school year was noted. Last week we didn’t have very many students sent to the office for violations of the cell phone procedure, but we are seeing more this week. Since high school students are allowed to use their cell phones during passing times and lunch times, we thought it would be helpful to you to know that, if you send a message to them, there are plenty of times they can respond to you without risking being sent from class. We encourage you to explain to your child that you are fine with not receiving an immediate response from them. If you do have an emergency and do require such a response, feel free to call the school and let us know - we will go to your child’s class to assist in allowing you to communicate with them.
