DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS – PTSA
Welcome to Central High School. We are happy your student will be joining us. We hope that you are making progress toward meeting the state requirement of obtaining a school physical and /or the required immunizations for your ninth grade or transfer student. Deadline to submit a physical with immunization is September 1, 2023. You can turn any medical forms to the main office at Central High School to Ms. Green (greench@u4sd.org). Parents please be sure to sign the physical form.
Picture Day is September 6th in Seeley Hall, come prepared to smile for the cameras 
. Forms will be available soon in the main office.
CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES
Juniors and Seniors interested in joining National Honor Society, please check your email as invitations have gone out and applications are due Friday, September 1st at 12:00 p.m. Please contact Ms. Cornelius (corneler@u4sd.org) and Ms. Thompson (thompsve@u4sd.org) with any questions.
Student Council: We will be having our first meeting of the year next Wednesday, August 23 in the library lecture hall at 7:30. Be prepared to finalize the details for this year's homecoming. All are welcome to attend. You can also join our Google Classroom for more student council information and updates. Code: q7pesqf
Chess club meets on Tuesday and Thursday after school in the Den from 3:30pm to 5pm. Our first meeting will be Tuesday, August 22. We welcome players of all skill levels. Please contact Mr. Hong at hongaa@u4sd.org to be added to our Google Classroom.
Future Business Leaders of America / FBLA would like to invite all students to our first meeting next Tuesday, August 22 at 3:30 in room 2211. This is an amazing organization for anyone interested in gaining skills to carry them further in high school, college, and the workforce. If you are unable to attend but would like more information, please sign up outside Room 2211 or 2209.
ATHLETICS
Any student wishing to be our mascot, Max Maroon, during football season should contact Ms. Stillman in the Athletic Office.
The cross country team will be accepting new members through Friday August 18th. Anyone interested should see Coach Hood or e-mail him at hoodgu@u4sd.org.
The CHS Boys Soccer Season is about to kick off! Please join us for the annual car wash fundraiser this Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 12:30pm - 3:30pm at Prospect Bank, 1601 S. Prospect Avenue in Champaign (corner of Prospect & Kirby).
