PTSA has a few items left from registration that we would love to sell! Attached is list of items that we have and what they cost. Items are ready for immediate pick up or delivery, but we have a very limited number of items remaining. All proceeds from the sale of these items helps to fund the PTSA at Central! The Central High School Music Boosters proudly present the 9th Annual Trivia Night. Saturday, February 3th at Faith United Methodist Church. This event includes dinner (6:00p) provided by Moe’s Southwest Grill, trivia competition (7:00p) hosted by Central’s Very OwnGary Slotnick, door prizes, snacks, and soda. Raffles and silent auction will occur throughout the evening. Answers are submitted by your team at your table; you are not required to answer questions individually. Early Bird Registration fee is $200 through Jan 22 (after Jan 22, registration fee is $220) for a team of up to 8 people. All money raised supports Champaign Central’s Music Programs.

DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS – CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES
Art club will have its first meeting of the semester on TODAY in room 219 after school. All are welcome!
The Model United Nations Club will meet TODAY after school in room 204. New members are welcome.
Girls Who Code will meet in room 220C after school TODAY. Come on in to start your journey towards creating your very own version of flappy bird!
Philosophy Club will meet TODAY after school at 3:30 pm in room 217. The meeting will be fairly short.
Interact Club will meet TOMORROW at 7:30a in room 105. All are welcome! Bring $10 if you ordered a club t-shirt. If you have questions, please see Ms. Tandet.
Students interested in learning about racial identity development and becoming advocates for racial justice should consider joining RISE. RISE, the Racial Identity Student Experience, is comprised of students from Central, Centennial, and Novak and caring adults who wish to formulate a progressive understanding about race. All genders and gender expression are welcome. A light dinner will be provided. The next meeting is at Centennial next Tuesday, January 23rd, in the library and room 127 from 4:00-5:30 pm. A bus will bring Central students to and from the meeting. Central students can see Ms. Flugge or Mr. Cooper.
Spanish Club will be celebrating Hispanic Cinema next Tuesday, January 23rd, at 3:30p in room 115. Come and Join us!!!
Asian American Association will meet for discussion next Tuesday, January 23rd, at 3:45p in room 103. Please contact Miss Long with any questions!
Congratulations to the swimming and diving team on their 114-60 victory over Bloomington last night. Individual winners were Ryan Wierschem in the 200 and 100 freestyle, Mitchell Devine in the 50 freestyle, Nik Johnson in the 100 Backstroke, Max Dillow in diving, and Justin Toin the 200 IM.
Congratulations to the freshmen boys' basketball team on their 41-25 victory over Normal Community last night.
Attention all football players. Mr. Woods has scheduled a meeting for next Monday, January 22nd, at 3:25p in the library lecture hall. The purpose of the meeting is to allow the football players an opportunity to assist in building the profile for our next head football coach. All are encouraged and welcome to attend.
Attention all senior student-athletes. Have you committed to continue competing at the collegiate level next year? If so, please see Mr. Woods in the athletic office. We are in the process of scheduling our February signing celebration.
Softball winter workouts will be starting back up, Please see Coach Stoddard in room 214 or the athletic office for a schedule.
All girls interested in track and field, you must register through the athletic office no later than February 2nd. Please see Coach Hood for more details.
COLLEGE & CAREERS
Seniors, Mr. Tanner has added two Honors Day scholarships to your Family Connection account. They are as follows: the Doris Mellon and Vincent O. Greene Scholarships.
Any students interested in going to Eastern Illinois University, there is an upcoming event on February 19th to help students decide if EIU is right for them or get help preparing for college. Please see Mr. Fagerlin in room 231 for more information on this as well as a scholarship opportunity.
