The Central High School Music Boosters proudly present the 9th Annual Trivia Night. Saturday, February 3th at Faith United Methodist Church. This event includes dinner (6:00p) provided by Moe’s Southwest Grill, trivia competition (7:00p) hosted by Central’s Very OwnGary Slotnick, door prizes, snacks, and soda. Raffles and silent auction will occur throughout the evening. Answers are submitted by your team; you are not required to answer questions individually. Early Bird Registration fee is $200 through Jan 24th (this deadline has been extended to TOMORROW- after Jan 24th, registration fee is $220) for a team of up to 8 people. DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS – CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES
The Future Teachers Club will be meeting after school TODAY in Room 317. Not only will there be ice cream, but Mr. Reid will be teaching the basics of juggling!
Spanish Club will be celebrating Hispanic Cinema TODAY at 3:30p in room 115. Come and Join us!!!
Yoga club will meet TODAY after school from 3:30p- 4:15p in the lower library. Bring your own mat if you have one.
Asian American Association will meet for discussion TODAY at 3:45p in room 103. Please contact Miss Long with any questions!
Students interested in learning about racial identity development and becoming advocates for racial justice should consider joining RISE. RISE, the Racial Identity Student Experience, is comprised of students from Central, Centennial, and Novak and caring adults who wish to formulate a progressive understanding about race. All genders and gender expression are welcome. A light dinner will be provided. The next meeting is at Centennial TODAY in the library and room 127 from 4:00-5:30 pm. A bus will bring Central students to and from the meeting. Central students can see Ms. Flugge or Mr. Cooper.
Philosophy Club will meet on Thursday this week in room 217 after school.
The African American Club will be meeting every Monday after school at 3:30p, every Tuesday at 7:30a, and every Friday after school at 3:30p in room 229. February 9th is dress rehearsal. Please be present. The AA Black History Celebration will be Monday February 12th. See Ms. Kunkel with any questions.
Congratulations to the freshmen boys basketball team on their 54-44 victory over Normal West to advance to the Consolation Championship of the Bloomington Invite.
